Here for the long-term
When Pardee Homes begins work on one of its award-winning master-planned communities, the company makes a long-term commitment to existing residents of the area and those who will one day live in the homes the company builds.
The proposed Meadowood development at Interstate 15 and State Route 76 in the north San Diego County community of Fallbrook is a great example of the Pardee Homes philosophy.
Pardee Homes has established ties to the community, long before the first shovel of dirt has been turned to begin construction.
Community involvement
Pardee's presence dates back more than 50 years
In fact, the company has had a presence in San Diego County for more than 50 years, and has a long tradition of philanthropy and community involvement.
One example is Pardee Homes' leadership with HomeAid San Diego, a nonprofit organization dedicated to building shelters for the homeless in San Diego County. Pardee has been a key sponsor of HomeAid's annual fundraising event, the Taste of North County. The company also participates in Project Playhouse, in which elaborate, whimsical playhouses are designed and constructed, and then auctioned off to benefit HomeAid's programs.
Another area of community involvement for Pardee is the company's support of local law enforcement. Recently, Pardee Homes and the Weyerhaeuser Company Foundation, the philanthropic arm of Pardee's parent company, gave a grant to the San Diego Police Foundation for the purchase and training of a new police dog. The grant also provided funding for school safety patrols at seven San Diego schools.
This community involvement adds up to a long-term commitment from Pardee Homes to work for the betterment of the neighborhoods it builds.
